About the initiative
Beth has developed a technology that harvests clean drinking water from air in arid and semi arid areas. The first prototype harvests 10 liters of water in 24 hours in relative humidity of 55%. It uses solar thermal energy and sponge-like desiccant materials that makes it possible to get water at a low cost, in energy efficient way in low humidity levels, making it possible to ”create” water during droughts or emergencies. At the moment she is working on a prototype that can significantly increase the amount of water harvested daily.
