Miles Bell was born and raised in Norwich, UK. After a completing an undergraduate degree in Modern Languages and Linguistics, he undertook an internship with an environmental NGO in Vanuatu. This experience inspired Miles to pursue an MSc in Water: Science and Governance at King’s College London, where his research focused on community based water resource management. He has since worked for the International Water Management Institute in Sri Lanka (internship), the Canal and Rivers Trust and an international development consultancy in London, and a hydropower consultancy in Montréal. Miles is the Water Security Editor at the Global Water Forum and now lives in Brussels where he joined the YWS team as a Programme Officer supporting the Young Water Fellowship in 2019.
