Cahr’Set designs and installs phyto-treatment systems for collective buildings that recycle wastewater into irrigation water. This allows farmers who suffer from water supply problems to avoid using garbage trucks that dump their untreated sludge directly into the fields. During her pilot project, Fatoumata developed her pilot project in the prison of Sébikhotane (on the outskirts of Dakar). Indeed, as the prison does not have an adapted wastewater collection network, most of the wastewater is discharged into the street that also borders a school, thus benefiting more than 1000 people.
