Joyce is co-founder of Mobile Alert Toilets (MAT), a social business that tackles the problem of overflowing pit latrines in the urban slums of Kenya by retrofitting them with containers and sensors. For the YWF pilot, Joyce is renovating and building toilets at household level and schools in Korogocho slum, and installing MAT’s innovative sensors and collection system.
