Marly is the founder of the project K’aslem Ya’. Her initiative seeks to address the problem of water scarcity in the hamlet of her Mayan community Panimaquin. As part of her YWF pilot, together with NGO Compartiendo Nuestras Bendiciones, Marly built 10 household rain harvesting cisterns with “Eco bricks”, plastic bottles filled with inorganic waste found in community dump sites.
